The Kumaun University Inter-Collegiate Chess Tournament concluded successfully at Chanakya Law College, Rudrapur, featuring teams from nine affiliated colleges. The event was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by Chief Guest Prof. Nagendra Sharma (President, District Olympic Association and former Sports Officer, Kumaun University), College Chairman S.P. Singh, Director Ravindra Singh Bisht, and Principal Dr. Deepashri Joshi. In an exciting final match, MBPG College, Haldwani delivered an outstanding performance to defeat HNB Government PG College, Khatima (runner-up) to claim the title, with trophies presented to the teams by the guests. Event Organising Secretary Anil Kumar, along with dignitaries and faculty members including Salim Ahmad, Dr. Ayesha Amin, Upasana Tiwari, and others, congratulated the participants and praised the role of such competitions in boosting mental sharpness and discipline among students.

Chanakya PG College of Rudrapur won first place in the state-level inter-college debate competition, “Debate Competition-2026,” held in Dehradun on October 7. The competition was themed on “21 Years of the Right to Information Act.” Shambhavi Singh and Arjun Pratap Singh from the college were chosen as the best speakers. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.) honored the winning team by presenting them with the trophy. College Chairman SP Singh, Managing Director Ravindra Singh Bisht, and Principal Dr. Deepakshi Joshi congratulated the students on their achievement.

Chanakya PG College in Rudrapur organized a special lecture on "Basic Principles of Investing in the Share Market" for students as part of its "Deeksharambh 2026" program. The aim was to introduce students to the practical side of investing and give them a basic understanding of how the share market works. Dr. Vikas Chandra Agarwal, Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce and Management, addressed the students as the main speaker. He explained that investing is not merely a way to earn higher profits, and that it requires understanding the nature of the market, the risks involved, and one's own financial situation. The principal, several faculty members, and a large number of students attended the event.

A special lecture on the Indian Constitution organized at Chanakya PG College in Rudrapur as part of their orientation program (Deeksharambh 2026). The chief speaker, Prof. J.N. Mishra, former director at Motilal Nehru Research Institute of Business Administration (Allahabad University), enlightened students on the Preamble, fundamental rights and duties, directive principles, and pivotal judicial rulings such as the Kesavananda Bharati case. The event was welcomed by Principal Dr. Deepakshi Joshi, conducted by Varnika Verma, and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Assistant Professor Saleem Ahmad. A large number of faculty members and students actively attended the insightful session.

Chanakya PG College Celebrates World Environment Day: Chanakya PG College organized a vibrant awareness drive featuring an inspiring tree plantation ceremony led by the administration and Principal Dr. Deepakshi Joshi. Chairman S.P. Singh emphasized that environmental conservation must become a lifestyle choice to safeguard our natural resources.
